Various energy and utility specific sources are used including RFP pages on utility websites, Consultant/Independent Evaluator websites, energy industry news outlets, power industry organization websites, direct integration to a federal RFP database, and direct submission on Energy Adepto.
100% coverage from public sources can’t be guaranteed, but we try to get as close as possible. To make sure we cover our bases, we researched all 1,200 load serving entities registered by EIA to find where their RFPs are posted.
RFPs are found from public sources. Commercial and industrial RFPs tend to be more private with direct outreach, so the majority of RFPs are from Utilities.
The RFP types are broken into major categories from the power industry spanning Generation (ex. energy, capacity, all-source, solar, wind, energy storage), Transmission & Distribution (ex. transformers, distribution materials, EV charging), Technology & IT (ex. Asset Management software, DERMS, software services, SCADA, CIS), and Services (ex. Analysis/Studies, Construction, Design).
If you find a gap in coverage, you can submit the website link URL in the platform. We will review and add it to the list of sources if it matches our target source type.
The RFPs are updated daily. Sources are tracked daily/weekly depending on the frequency of RFPs posted on the web page. If you want to make sure you find an organization’s RFPs in real-time, just let us know and we can confirm or update the tracking frequency for a particular organization.
