Hello, my name is Andreas, founder of Energy Adepto. I built Energy Adepto after seeing the complexity of the energy RFP process.

I started out working as a consultant managing the RFP process for utilities’ All-Source and Renewable RFPs I saw the in’s and out’s of the process. Then, I worked in software where I learned how to build complex, robust software for large utilities. I wanted to solve a problem in energy RFP space so I looked into RFP search.

I found that RFPs were announced on fragmented sources: utility websites, news outlets, RFP consultant websites, power industry organization websites, or simply internal email lists. Talking to developers I realized existing solutions required big annual contracts and still weren’t cutting it.

No one had a structured way to find energy RFPs. They either heard of it by word of mouth, through google search, or trying to cold email Utilities. In some cases, even heard about a big opportunity too late.

It started out as just a google sheet and grew into a tool that monitors 750+ energy & utility sources, organizes and categorizes them with just the critical information, and makes them easy to find.

It’s still growing, and yes, just me for now, but I hope you will join me on this journey to make quality energy data accessible and simplified for your day to day work.
